Urijah is the one who really peaked my interest in the sport (just happened to be flipping thru channels & saw him and had to stop--ha ha. He's just a little cutie!) It's not like I'm interested in him "romantically"--not at all. Just think he's a hot shit & admire what he has done for the sport---he sure draws the ladies into it!!

Yes, that was the first time I had met him in person!! We have conversed, but that was the first opportunity that I have had to go to one of his events (or any)---they are always out there on the West coast, and I am way over here on the East coast--way up in Maine, to be exact. Them coming to Florida was awesome!!

I was tickeled pink when I watched the taping I had of the fight & saw Urijah saying "hi brenda" & waving to me as he saw me coming into the arena. I had forgotten all about it until when my daughter & I watched it---she is the one who noticed it!! Unfortunately, when they re-broadcast the event--along with changing his entrance song, the darkened the audience so you couldn't see us as well. But I have it still on DVR!!!

I hear what you are saying Brenda and couldn't agree with you more. I got myself a little job to help pay for my MMA addiction and other things, ha ha. But being a stay at home mom for the most part and living on military pay, it's pretty hard to justify using what money is left to go to an MMA fight. But I will get there eventually. I'll figure out some way to go.

You should seriously check into the nursing thing. Check out your local fights and see what they require. It would be interesting to see if you could get a job doing that.

At the local fights here they are called "wound specialist."

I definitely know a thing or two about wounds. I used to work in the ER. One night there was a bar brawl and a few of the guys came in to get stitched up. Only thing was, they weren't finished fighting. The ER doc about had a heart attack when they started going at it in their hospital gowns in the hallway. I was like...where's the popcorn, this is some good shit!

You girls can count me in on this job thing!! I'm actually out of a job come the end of this month. Last December I finally graduated college after 6 yrs and voluntarily took a lay-off---with an agreement to continue on with the company for 8 months (I did this before the economy took a nose dive!). I'm so ready to be out of my current position, but am now a little aprehensive about what I have gotten myself into. Not to worry though, as you can tell--I'm a pretty resoursefull girl & I think that we as a team could come up with something!!
