World Extreme Cagefighting has just added another bantamweight fight for the December 3rd card. Joseph Benavidez (9-0) will be facing Danny Martinez (11-2). Benavidez comes into this fight with a perfect 9-0 record and having last fought for the Japanese organization Dream. Benavidez faced Junya Kudo at the July 21st event and went on to dominate Kudo en route to a submission win in the very first round. The young fighter is highly touted by teammate, and former WEC featherweight champion, Urijah Faber. Faber went even as far to say that Benavidez would be able to beat top ranked fighter Norifumi "Kid" Yamamoto.
On the other side Danny Martinez comes into this fight with a very impressive 11-2 record. He also comes in as the Rage in the Cage bantamweight champion. Martinez last fought in October against Joey Marimberga. Martinez went on to win that fight in the third round by submission.
This fight has the potential to be very exciting. Benavidez looked impressive in his last fight and Martinez is looking to be a force in the exploding WEC bantamweight division. Both fighters are making their WEC debuts
