View Full Version : I met a dude claiming to train with Lesnar
Ok so the other night when I was working, I got to talking with a guy about MMA. I have to say I usually do a better job promoting Urijah Faber than Bud Light (shhh don't tell anyone) but he was saying he trains with Brock Lesnar and they are coming to Corpus Christi some time soon for some fighting thing or something. Not sure if this guy was full of shit or what but I told Him "well good luck man and let's just hope you fight better than Brock" ha ha ha he just gave me a look but was cool about it. Just wanted to share my interesting story. Throughout the night I meet alot of cool people who love the fight game as well. Most have heard of Faber and if not I am sure to educate them. :)

It's cool so far, the more I get established the more fun it will be. You get to meet alot of top people of these bars and events. Pretty cool. It was scary as hell the first night but it gets easier the more nights I am out. People for the most part are friendly, some people are nasty too (mostly the females). I'm learning not to take it personally. That is hard sometimes. It's defintely getting me outta my shell and for that I am grateful. I hope to be asked to promote a WEC thing sometime. I see Bud Light plastered everywhere at those fights. Dreamin.....I think that call will come at the same time the one inviting us all to the block party will. LOL!

That guy was probley lying............just look at what happen to MSTRACYLEE, she had a guy tell her that HE was fight in the UFC tommorrow night and she know ALL of the fighters personally !! Guys will try just about anything to win over a chicks attention. Weak minded guys with self esteem problems that is !!
I would not be bragging about training with Lesnar anyways !!
he didn't have the coliflower ears either so I figured he was probably blowing smoke up my ass, that is why I made the comment I did too. I felt like saying whatever you homo. But I need to remain "professional" ha ha yeah right!

Way to fire back Lisa! I bet he walked off thinking, damn, that didn't go so well, maybe I need to pick a different fighter to pretend to train with.
ha ha too funny!!! We were talking fighting for a few minutes and I almost offered up my opinion about Lesnar without being asked, now that would have been funny!

That is a true sign of a MMA fighter although there are several that have protected their ears over the years Rampage Jackson, Frank Mir, hell Urijahs ears arent jacked but that is a great way to spot MMA guys no doubt !!
Urijah's ears aren't jacked. But you can tell he's been hit you know?

LOL. I have ran into a few people that claim to train with well known fighters. They talk about how much they train together and that they know everything about them. I don't ever pressure people on it, but sometimes I just want to smack'em int he face and be all "Shut UP. No you Don't"
that was me too. I was just looking at him nodding like i was all interested but if you could see the thought bubbles above my head they would have said things like: yeah right, liar, sure whatever you say, you done talking yet? Those kinds of things! My boss did give him a card and told him to call so we can do a promo for the event. I'll believe it when I see it.

i dont know, not sure if this counts, but if you've ever watched the ultimate fighter with the guys in the house, Junie Browning, the most annoying kid in the world, cocky, a drunk, crappy at fighting.
i did get to meet one of the cast members on that show though. Eliot Marshall

did you see him fight that scrawny little bugger? it was so sad that it came to a decision. All of his talk and he went to decision with a kid that you could see his ribs
yeah exactly. He is not impressive at all.

Tap, I agree with Lisa, it definitely counts meeting Eliot Marshall. Too cool. Anymore tournaments coming up?
not that i know of, im taking a break from mma for a couple months while i get into wrestling. then starting back up of course
