View Full Version : Aphla Male Block show? Who would watch?

On another thread I mentioned that it would be cool to have a show that follows Faber and his crew of guys who live and train at The Block. I know that reality TV is not the best, but I think this would work.

that would be a great show. i could take a break from the "getting old" tapout crew
as much as i like listening Mask say the fighters name in the same pitch every time

I think a new mma show would be good for the sport and fans
and it would show people how chill the pros really are.
AND it would show people how much more civilized and organized the sport is.
(my friends think its just like 2 brutes punching each other til 1 passes out)

They don't realize all the training and technical stuff that goes into these fights. It's not just sloppy fighting like a bunch of drunk dudes in a bar brawl.

Lisa is right on the money. If they did do a show on the Alpha Male crew, it would show the side of the sport most people do not know about if they only watch the PPV and do not really follow the sport.

Is the face paint another one of his hooks too? What's up with that?????

too many hits to the head i guess.
plus skyscrape serves no purpose to the show.
punkass is tight, and mask is like the promoter, and at least a bit entertaining
skyscrape just creeps people out and talks black...

Lisa, great post. It definitely takes talent and skill to be able to fight MMA. Anyone can throw random punches, but it really isn't going to get you very far, especially if a fight is taken to the ground and you have no clue how to be ground fighter. I would definitely watch the Alpha Male Block show.

I would watch, but I imagine that some of the footage would be shocking. All of those guys living together in a small area. Yikes!

It would be a lock that there would be some good T and A footage when any chica'a came to the block.
Whether your an MMA fan or not I think everyone would watch for the T-N-A!!! So who is this camera man and how do we vote for him to do the job????

That sounds like a show I'd watch. Not only would it be entertaining but I'm constantly taking note of how MMA fighters train on Tapout and taking note of what they do in their matches. I'd love to watch some serious pros doing their thing

They put the clip back on youtube, and another one showing Urijah at a party..wow does that guy ever have good P.R. skills! And of course he is sober cause its so close to his fight. I searched too and came up with nothing. Guess we'll just have to be surprised if and when it airs. By the way, who's going to be carrying this reality show? Versus? I can't remember if his myspace bulletin mentioned that.
I have no clue on who is going to host it. I can't wait though. It's gonna be awesome I can tell already.

This will definitely be on my DVR list. I'm never home to watch anything so DVR has become my best friend. It's the best invention since sliced bread!
I'm sure it'll make for some interesting conversation on this forum too, with all the happenings going on with the show.

I'm hoping they show alot of training type footage. That's what I'm interested in seeing. I love watching other people train. And hopefully when other members of Team Alpha Male are going to be fighting. I would think that's what they'll be showing, but I learned long ago to never assume.

Tapout seems to be more about the owners than the fighters. it was interesting at first, but it's gotten old after while, there's nothing else to compete with it though.....i'd love to see a show where it shows the actual workouts, the way they train, their diets etc. Tips on how to train, and what not to do.
its good if you are on tapout, because you get good promotion rollin with those guys, but its just not as entertaining to watch anymore. Deja vu like 50 times over again
