I don't know it was really bizarre and I think it has something to do with mayhem wanting to be their top Middleweight since most all of uss think Jake is going to jump to the UFC now that his contract is up

also it was Nate Diaz who took the first swing and escalated it all into the full brawl. He swung at Mayhem who ducked it and swung back and then Nick Diaz and Melendez and Nate started wailing on Mayhem and stomping on him and punching him so Miller[s team rushed in and all hell broke loose

so now Mayhem's fight with Lawler looks like it is going to be off with Mayhem suspended and Diaz and Melendez are going to be suspended as well

it has happened in Dream and Pride as well and even Zuffa has had a few instances jus not a brawl

Mayhem was Team Quest so he was cageside byHendo's corner which is why he was able to get into the cage at the end
