So, I live in Central Cali.
I am not an MMA expert, just a huge fan. I think Urijah Faber is the MAN!
I would eventually like to be a figure competitor (you know the prettier side of muscle), but I am in the midst of finishing up school for my special education teaching credential. Once I have my credential, I will not have to attend classes in the evening (I work full-time in addition to going to school), and I can concentrate on building my puny body into a hot little house of muscle.
I like to hear others' comments, suggestions, and ideas; so, let me know if you have anything to share.
Peace!

First of all, hats off to you for becoming a teacher. Especially special education. Good luck to you with school.
Second, yes Urijah is the MAN! I don't fight MMA either, but love watching it.
Anyway, seen lots of your post, glad you finally introduced yourself. :)

Yes yes, I have putting this off as well, not sure i'd even use this forum ...but I have been!
Like the rest of you I am a huge MMA fan..(Urijahs my fav)...luv it...but have not participated...always thought about trying boxing or judo ..or wrestling..etc...but alot of other priorities and hobbies too...one of these days ...it's on my list!:D! ;)
So I am from British Columbia Canada, I enjoy ALOT of different activities, mostly outdoor and athletic related such as hiking, hunting, biking, quadding, snowmobiling, hockey ,snowboarding,cross-country skiing, horses, hotrods, running....phew ... to name a few, and of course one of my favorite indoor activities of bodybuilding and fitness. Lucky for me my job is in the forest industry so I get alot of physical and outdoor time at work too. Add family time to that...don't know where i'd fit the mma in..haha, so I just enjoy watching it for now!!
I am luvin meeting new people with similar interests!!

Welcome Jessica. Sounds like you lead a busy life too with all your outdoor activities. Of course, we live in an area perfect for all things outdoors (I'm right outside of Seattle). :)
Welcome to all of you!! Glad to hear some other women are getting into this MMA thing as well. Glad to have you all here so I can read what other chicks have to say about MMA!!! Thanks :)

Hey here's a late welcome to your 'late' inro! It's really cool that you're going to be a teacher. That's one of my career goals as well.

I drove to your town a few years ago to watch a Counting Crows Concert on the grass in a local Winery!!! That was a great time!! Small world! Some of my family was raised in Enumclaw Washington too. (Thats close to where Rancy Couture is from...Everette) and I was down there one other time when I picked up an old Camaro to restore....Black Diamand..or one of the bigger towns in that area!
So you guys do lots of outdoors stuff too!! I luv it! If I am not outside...I am training inside...or watching good ol MMA!!! I hiked Mount Ranier once...and biked down it as well...fun!

I have to agree with you Jessica. I was just telling my son how much I liked this site because everyone is so nice and there is no drama. I'm not usually comfortable in forums, but you guys have all made me feel welcome.
ditto on all of that!!! It has been a blast to be on here. This is my first forum ever, I love it. I was telling my husband about it and he thinks I'm a huge dork I'm sure, because of the way I talk about this. I was telling him how really there's just a handful of of that really talk on here. I like that, it gives us a chance to get to know each other. Plus we'll still have our own little group when this thing gets huge. So thank you guys for being so wonderful!!

I like it here because everybody is so friendly and helpful. I didn't sign up to begin with. I just sat back to see what kind of people would be on here. It helped me decide when I saw that I wouldn't be the only girl!
It's great to have another girl on here! So thanks for deciding to join.
