I found out I was related to John Wayne through my genealogy because my Dad went to Mass. state and walking into a museum of our ancesters and the lady there said, "Are you from Ca. and have our last name then you are related to John Wayne. When my Dad came home I called the Morman church in Salt Lake City and ask for the genealogy department. They said for a price I could get my genealogy. So I agreed and they showed how I was related to John Wayne. We have the same ancester who came over from England in 1607 approx. John would be about my 5th cousin. I went to the internet and the center of my family happened to be genealogist and have all this info. on the internet. If I would have gone to the internet first I would have saved money but at least it verified the info. Needless to say I got really excited and told a lot of ppl at work. A lot of the girls loved John Wayne in his old movies. John Wayne died way before I knew about the connection. My husband happened to go to gun and knife shows and bought numerous pics of John Wayne so they are on a tall wall in my entry way. When delivery men come to my house they often see the pics and say, "I just love John Wayne."

:DJohn Wayne's real name is Marion Morrison. I'm related to John on my Dad's side and John Wayne's Grandmother is related directly to my Dad.

are too wide and about 1 and 1/2 the
size of a regular thread? Can they be
shrink if needed? How would that be
done?

Has anyone done their genealogy. It's very enlighting.
I couldn't believe all the famous ppl I'm related to.
They are a verity of ppl. one supreme court judge,
artists, guns designer, kings, princesses, governers,
vice president, one president, a leader on the
Mayflower, many ministers and farmers and
fur traders and one group who started populating
a major city in Mass. That's why we have a museum
in my maiden name:) and a college named after our ancestors.

Whoever wants to check professionally there genealogy....you
might be surprised at how many famous ppl you are decentant
from. If you go back far enough like I did you might see a lot
of famous ppl too.

Some ppl buy a set of genealogy dvd's, sold at computer stores
and check there own ancestors. I don't know how hard that
would be but I was unable to see my ancesters on my Mom's
side. I was just lucky my first ancestor in 1607 was directly on
the internet. It even told me wear they came from in England.

I was studying my typed Genealogy this morning and I have a few corrections to make.

I just looked up my ancesters to refresh my memory since I did them in 2000
and I was wrong about the date, my first relative with my last name came
to America. He came in the mid 1600's. Also my great, great grandmother was
my direct decentant from one of the leaders on the MayFlower. I went through
my booklets, I typed up on most of my ancesters. My brother, Father, couisins,
and one sister have studied our ancestors as well. I happen to email a geneaologist
in our family and she gave me the name of one of my great grand-
mother who had a very famous name. Most of the famous ppl I found that we
were decentent from, came from her. If you can find ancestors from the male and
female side, the chance of having famous ancestors is higher.

Don't be afraid to try and find your:D
ancestors....it can be very enlightening.

I watch a lot of reality or true murder shows that show how the DNA can
match up the person to their race. If they do DNA and find out it was
a black person then the crime can't be done by a white or asian. Or if
the DNA is white then you can send home a black innocent person who
they have arrested.
