Fresh off a thirty-one second submission victory over Chad George earlier this month, bantamweight Scott Jorgensen has been tabbed to face Antonio Banuelos on WEC’s first Pay-Per-View card on April 24. Jorgensen will replace Damacio Page, who was forced off the card due to injury.
The 27-year-old Boise resident has won his last three fights. His last loss come via controversial split decision to Banuelos last June.
“Scott has been wanting another crack at Antonio and he gets the chance live on Pay-Per-View on April 24,” WEC GM Reed Harris said. “Their first fight was absolute fireworks. Now, both are even closer to a world title shot. There’s no doubt that this fight could be even better than the first.”
