Anybody else watching it? I don't know if this episode has aired before but it's pretty interesting. A cameraman is following around 3 mma fighters in the weeks before a big fight. The fighters are Ian Stonehouse, Frankie Edgar, and Kit Cope.

Whatever happened to having music mean so much to me? I'll try checking it out at the gym when I'm doing cardio. It sure does have potential for just about anything to happen.;)

I had never heard of the show either, I was just channel surfing and happened upon it. It is a reality type show that shows how young people are living their lives in America. I think this was just a one episode thing about MMA. It was very tastefully done. Really good exposure for mma. I was surprised that MTV could pull something like that off. One fighter was an ammy, about to turn pro after this fight, and was a full time college student with a 3.0 gpa. It showed a lot of their families, girlfriends, school, and other activities besides fighting. Definately worth checking out if it re-airs.

I have seen True Life before, not the MMA one, but one about bodybuilders (my other obsessions). It was really interesting, one guy juiced, while the other two were natural. I really like that MTV has some good content on their channel not just controversial shocking crap. I’ll have to TIVO the MMA one.

Kit Cope WAS a True Muay Thai BAD ASS BACK IN THE DAY !!! I fought on the under card of one of his title defenses in Thailand back in 1994 !! We were born on the same Day March 17th, although I am 8 years his senior !! Kinda Cool .

He was the soul reason I got into martial arts, specifically Muay Thai !! He was the MAN !!

He has had a very lackluster mma career which is suprising becuase he was the Chuck Liddell of Muy Thai !! Which just goes to show you HOW FREAKING BAD ASS AND WELL ROUNDED THESE CAGE FIGHTERS ARE !!! YOU HAVE TO HAVE A COMPLETE GAME PERIOD !!!He also was engaged to MMA BADASS Gina Carrano ( LUCKY BASTARD)!! SO I think the dude is very cool !!!

Frank Edgar is a bad ass as well !!

I dont know much about Ian stonehouse other then I saw him fight on the kickdown classic once.

I never watch MTV (Except when my oldest is watching ROB and Big I love that shit ) but will have to look for the show !! Thanks for the info !!

Too bad it would not be worth anything LOL !!! Urijahs signature will only increase in value over the years. The older the memrobilia you have (IE) First series WEC gloves etc the more it will be worth in the years to come.


BTW- The gloves I get signed are WEC fighter ONLY gloves which have the WEC logo on them. You cant buy them anywhere. SOmetimes they sell boot leg versions on ebay but all my gloves are the REAL DEAL !! I got the hook ups guys and girls. You can buy WEC gloves that DONT HAVE THE WEC LOGO on them on the WEC website, but not the ones with the logo.

As a matter of fact, the first time I busted them out in Columbus OHIO on Urijah his manager was like where did you get those gloves, I was like I NEVER KISS and tell big baller !! They both just laughed at me and said I was not supposed to have them they were just for the fighters, but he signed them anyways !!! Since then a few more peeps have gotten the same hook up as me so they are around alot more so the fighters dont freak out when they see them now which is cool. But they are hard to come by !!
