be honest.
no PC-TAM bull shit.
MEANING: don't name Joseph as your favorite just because he's TAM and we dig him.

If Torres shows up focused and back on his game I think he is too well rounded for Joseph but it should be a great fight

Wow this one is really hard for me!! I like both fighters very much both are great guy's outside the cage!! However inside the cage i'm going to have to give the edge to torres-sorry jb! In no way am i giving up on jb because as we all know and love about the wec anything can happen!! It's a win, win fight for the fan's, i really don't care who wins i want to see an all out war!!best to both!!

Joseph needs a very good, if not perfect game plan (if that's possible).
3 of his 4 WEC fights have went to the judges, however more than 1/2 his pro fights have been won by submission.
I don't think he's gonna knock Torres out, and I wouldn't want it to go to the judges.
Torres has never lost via submission.
So what are Joseph's options?
He needs to stand and connect with punches, knees and kicks, so that if it does go to the scorecards, he has a chance.
Joseph has excellent takedown defense, so I don't see Torres wining by getting him on the mat and GnP.
This is a tough one.
I need to think about it some more!

Wow this is a tough one. They are both good fighters and with JB coming up I really would like to see him get his shot at the belt but I think Torres will probably win. It will be a really good fight no matter who wins:)

btw, i heard the arnold classic is that same weekend in ohio, in case you are going for the fights!
I like lucky7's ideas here.
I would LOVE to see Joseph take it.
Though I think Torres has the edge IF HE BRINGS HIS TOP GAME!
Joseph may surprise the shit out of him and take the W.
He's fast as hell and hungry.
being completely honest. Torres will take it.
I would rather fight a good 170/180 fighter than take on Torres. any day.
his mexi-mullet, his speed, and his power is intimidating. After taking that weird loss im sure hes craving his belt

the way I see it is stand up is about even and takedown defense is basically a wash
Torres has the better submission game and better pacing and better submission defense which gives him the victory imo

Let's hope Joseph is training his ass off. (which he probably is). If Joseph brings his A-game I think he'll have a chance and it will be a close fight. If Torres is a the top of his game then Joe might have a problem. Either way I'm rootin for ya Benavidez!
Yeah I was thinking that same thing, Benavidez obviously has the power to do it and I think it would be his biggest challenge yet. I mean Torres is a bad mofo, but he also has a shit load of hype around him which he does deserve, but after looking at how tough the Torres v Mizugaki fight was for Torres, then watching the mauling that Jorgensen did to Mizugaki you gotta wonder if Torres has somewhat been exposed?? Lemme break something down.
So Jorgensen just defeated Mizugaki, very convincingly in my opinion.
Mizugaki pushed Miguel to the end and Miguel took a very close decision, but did win.
Jorgensen V Torres?? Who knows when you compare those two.
Now Joseph,
Torres v Maeda- These two went to war, both had eachother in trouble numerous times but Miguel won due to a cut. Def was winning the rounds though, but was pushed no doubt.
Maeda v Yahya- This started out as a good fight, yahya showed up 3 lbs heavy but Maeda accepted the fight with him being overweight. Yahya ended up submitting in Maeda at 3:30 of round one....
Beanvidez v Yahya- We all saw this, no questions who won that fight.
The two men who pushed Miguel the farthest were both just convincingly defeated by Benavidez and Jorgensen, lets go Joseph.

I highly agree w/ Luckey7 & Kim...But Joseph will prevail!!
i see what your saying seth, but to judge a fighter on his past fights isnt always the best way to go (well people who have fought the same opponent and the varying outcomes). Every fighter runs into a few people that despite power and skill, still struggle the most with them. Mike Brown fought very well against Faber... 2 times, but Aldo tossed him around like a rag doll. Does that mean Aldo will dominate Faber, not at all, its definately going to be a fight nobody should miss, but the odds of that fight have got to be pretty close.
