Join an MMA gym or BJJ school...or some other martial arts school...most give 1 or 2 free trial classes.
Personally, I don't think "MMA" can be taught...what I mean isMixed Martial Arts can't be taught as a sole entity. You need to choose one or two aspects of it and concentrate on those. Then keep adding skills.
IMO, most of the best MMA fighters have a wrestling background (usually in college). Unfortunately, I don't think there are any "wrestling schools". However, the basics of wrestling are pretty simple to learn. I wrestled 2 years in HS, wasn't very good, but simple stuff like single and double leg takedowns help me when I'm training with someone who knows no wrestling at all.

start with one specialty and then find a good school and just jump in
honestly... dont look for an "mma school" any good fighter would tell you he doesnt go to 1 gym for his all around game. agreed with Draven, start out with something you find most interesting, like stand up and work off of that.

totally it is far easier if you start with a base like with me it was kickboxing and let that be your foundation. Then just find a good school that has atleast three quality trainers in different disciplines. Then just jump in and see what you take to naturally
