MMA Seminar w/ Urijah Faber!!!

This would have been a great experience for my son who wants to fight MMA. He still has a few years to go but this still would have been nice to attend. Hopefully next time.

I know I'll never be a professional fighter (too old), but I love it. Participating in something like this would just enhance my taekwondo training. Being able to defend myself both on my feet and on the ground -- can't beat that! Plus, being taught by pros.

Thanks for confirming it wasn't just one of my many random thoughts or a dream I had. Come to think of it I think I might have actually entered to win. I might have an amazing story to tell y'all and some fascinating pictures if I win. But honestly, I haven't won a damn thing I've entered for in my life so don't hold out any hope!!! ha ha :)

Thanks! Yeah, I already entered that. But, like you, I haven't won anything either! I know I need to get him into a MMA gym, but for now he does taekwondo and jiu jitsu.

I just went to the No Fear website to see if the contest started. It's called 'Get Schooled' and it starts November 5th. A familiar date? :)

I believe November 5 is when you can enter the contest. The original date for that contest was September 10.

If anyone has the chance to go........GO it will so be worth it. I attended a seminar he had the day before he left to go to Afganistan at MILITECH HOUSTON, and is was so awesome. My oldest son who is 13 was in Heaven !!! Lots of photos and a great clinic !! Who would not want to train with a MMA icon such as Urijah. He is so down to earth and hella good a teaching technique for ALL levels of fighters !!!

See I was relying on just the luck of the draw! Even though that hasn't proven to work in my favor in the past. But I know there are a millions more deserving people then me, I just want to go for the selfish reason of meeting him and really seeing how hard he trains. We'll see.

It'd be cool if it was a just meet Urijah and spend the day with him thing, but a lot of people REALLY want to get his opinion on things and get the braggin rights to say "I trained with the California Kid!" to their sparring buddies.

Maybe its selfish of me but I want some one to actually use his advice for future training rather than a good story later on.

That would be cool just to win a day to tag along with him. I don't train so I guess realistically I would have no reason to go, other than just to see him train. Others that do train should be the ones to win.

I'm actually kind of hoping that whoever wins posts some stuff up on youtube of their training. I'd be interested in watching Urijah practice/teach someone. If anyone from here wins maybe you should consider it lol
