i tried to post this on News & Happenings, but it won't let me for some reason. i guess i'm so new that i'm not activated yet? anyhoo, i have a question.

i heard yesterday that Ken Shamrock is opening some kind of gym in Modesto, Ca.? does anyone know if this is true? and where it is suppose to be located?

The moderators of the forums just have to approve anything posted in that forum. Probably because they want it to be completely factual.

I haven't heard anything about him opening up a gym. That's too far away from me for it to really spark my interest anyways. I'll ask a few of my buddies who go to MMA forums. They might have heard something.

i only live 20 mins away from Modesto, so i'd be interested in knowing if you hear of anything. :)

Good news. I checked google for Ken's gym in Modesto and he's got one coming in Fall called the Lion's Den. The origional one is in San Diego, and he has several gyms around the country. Here's to hoping he gets one in Indiana :p

I know it is not a Shamrock gym, but I googled and found a gym in Indiana (http://www.ibjja.com/). I do not know how good it is but it looks cool.

I actually looked at that gym and it looks really nice. After the season is over and I get more freetime I was going to call them up. That gym is only a half hour from where I live.

i only live 20 mins away ... i checked it out today and joined it. it doesn't open until the week before Halloween.
