I didn't mean to sound rude to your question or anything :o
I wanna learn something new...
I have just heard interviewers ask him the same questions time and again....
Who do you wanna fight?
What about Kid yamamoto?
Do you want a rematch with Tyson Griffon?....
Would you go up in weight....
etc
etc
He always answers your question with..."Hey Man, I'
ll fight anyone they put in front of me..."
BUt yah, maybe he'll give us something different for an answer this time...?
:D sorry

I wish Urijah would post up his diet and weight training shedule.
That would be awsome.

From past interviews it sounds like Urijah doesn't train with weights...just his own body weight and various tools (like hammering or rolling a tire...for example)...but i'd love to read about it too!!
Especially his diet and supplements!!:o

I just got back from a crazy five days. I went to Florida expecting to fight, then everything was cancelled due to the Hurricanes. I then went to Atlanta to watch the Chuck Liddel UFC. That was pretty crazy, wasn't expecting the ko by Rashad. Then flew into sac for three hours, got a call for some biz in LA, so I jumped on a plane for the day. When I was in LA my Pop called and said that my grandfater had become really sick and was about to die. So I jumped on a plane from La to Kentucky that day. I stayed in Kentucky for about 24 hours just long enought to see my G-pa before he passed, it was a really good experiance, and then jumped on a plane back to sac. I am now in Sac for about 24 hours before I get on a plane to San Diego to be help run a bachelor party for my best friend for the next couple days. Kinda a strange turn of events, and a weird couple of days considering i was supposed to be fighting today. You really realize how important other things are in life. Havent thought about the fight at all.
That all being said i love fighting and will fight anyone. I think there are a bunch of good fighters at 145, but superfights for me will be: Kid Yamamoto, BJ penn, Tyson Griffin, Miguel torres, Rematch with Jens and thats all the big money fights i think need to happen before im done. I have probably another 8 years competing so i hope they all happen. No rush. Thanks for tuning in

Sorry to hear about your grandpa, Urijah. You definitely lead a hectic life outside of fighting! I was really looking forward to your match today but that's just how things work out sometimes I guess.

my wife and i are expecting a little boy in november, we have decided to name him Urijah, it would be great if he was born before the fight so he could watch it with me and see that man he was born after. Urijah is also in the bible but spelled different it means brave soldier

Prayers go out to your family for the loss of your grandfather. Life is short and losing someone you love brings all that in focus. You have to live each day as if it were your last, do as much good as you can and accomplish all you can !!!

sorry to hear about your grandfather... it was great that you had the opportunity to see him before he passed.
i just lost a friend this last week from cancer, he was 57 years old. he thought he had kidney stones, and it ended up being cancer. he died within two weeks. i'm just glad he didn't suffer long... it's difficult to lose a loved one, so my heart goes out to you and your family.

I'm a firm believer in everything happens for a reason. It's good you were able to spend time with your grandfather before he passed. Thoughts go out to you and your family.
It's kind of awesome the things turned out the way they did. I know the selfish part in all of us was greatly disappointed that the fight was postponed but this ended up being perfect for you. What could possibly be more important then spending time with a family member before they pass away? Sorry about the sad news, but how awesome you were able to say good bye.
Hey Urijah, when you gonna shoot down to Denver, Colorado some time? Do some training in the great mountain air haha.
Anyone know of a good mma gym in colorado? Im at a good school for grappling, alright for kickboxing and thai, but I need to do some training in the ring
What part of Colorado? Im from Grand Junction but I know of a lot of gyms around Colorado.... Oh and how did you get that superman pic next to your name? haha

First off sorry to here about your Grandpa. It's good to see that you put your family first bro! The question I have is why doesn't the WEC sell any DVD's like the UFC does. I sure would like to purchase a DVD of Urijah's fights!
Alright so i just got a concussion the other day training, what can i say, i play a little too hard sometimes,
but my question is, whats the worst injury you've gotten from fighting

I'm glad they're having a memorial for him. I was wondering if they were going to hold one or not. I wish I could attend. I have a contest that day, so I'll just have extra motivation to win it for him
well good look on your contest, bring us some good news
