So my husband and I were chatting about why the ladies LOVE Urijah, especially after listening to the interview, which was linked by Smirnoff. I thought I would list some reasons why we ladies love the California Kid. (Boys pay attention; you may be able to get your girl lovin’ MMA if she watches Urijah fight.)
1.He is so dang charismatic. The guy knocks people out for a living, but speaks with eloquence.
2.He is not your normal, disfigured-nose, funny-faced fighter. He is adorable.
3.He’s got this confidence that is so amazing, which he is very entitled to have.
4.He is making bank, but still comes across as a nice guy.
5.His body is extremely conditioned and defined.
6.That HAIR….it is pretty. =)
7.He loves his mama!
8.He seems grounded, and has not “impregnated all of Northern California”.
9.He wins, and does so with excitement.
10.He works hard.

I'd also like to add that as a single mom raising a teenage boy, Urijah is a great role model. My son wants to fight MMA, which I am behind him all the way, but I always point out that Urijah graduated from college, which is important too. Plus, I love how innovative he is in ring. I may not be a professional fighter, but as a martial artist, he makes me think outside the box with my training.

He's just a huge role-model for me and for almost those exact same reasons. He shows you don't have to be a brute to be a great fighter. He holds respect for his opponents and isn't a dirty fighter.
But more on topic, my girlfriend comes over to watch his fights with me and probably for all those reasons. She has mentioned his hair a few times, lol

I think the list could go on forever and ever! He seems like such a cool dude. I haven't had the privilege of meeting him...yet, but he seems so down to earth from the things I've read and heard. With his looks, money, and talent he still isn't cocky. That's admirable.

Yeah for me a 16 year old male who just started training in mma, Urijah is a great inspiration. Especially since I'm not the biggest guy ever. If I ever need to get pumped up or something I just watch one of Urijahs fights and I'm good. It makes you realize the work ethic he puts in and make me focus more and train harder.

And he'd still be hot if he didn't have the mad skills to fight like he does too. If that makes sense. He's all around amazing, looks, skills, ability, dedication, strength, bad assness, etc etc!

As a mom period he is a great role model, I have 3 teenage boys and would be the proudest mom in the world if they end up half the man that Urijah is! And the fact that he does love his mom so much definately makes him that much more of a man! I appreciate the way that he always shows such great sportsmanship and is very respectful of his opponent even if they aren't. It just goes to show what great character he has! I wouldn't care if he won or lost I would still be a huge fan, the fact is Urijah Faber is a winner in and out of the ring! OH and I vote that Urijah gets the vote for the sexiest man in America because if you ask any female fans of MMA, I'm sure they would all say the exact same thing! We love you Urijah, don't ever change for anyone! ;)

It is sooo funny how many of us married women just love the champ. He knows it too, although, I think he is a little weirded out by it. We can’t help it the guy is adorable!

Besides everything you listed Lisa, his humility is a big factor for me. I watch alot of sports, and it's always refreshing to see a "star" thank all the right people and deflect all the accolades he receives to the people that support him. Urijah does this very well...
yeah you got that right for sure Lucky! All around he's just a great guy!

He's the reason I got into the sport. Flippin' channels one day, and he came across the screen.........and that was it---I was hooked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree 100%. You don't see that very often in other sports, which is a shame.

Well to me I think he is gorgeous in general , but what makes a guy go from gorgeous to pantie dropping gorgeous is ambition, strive , and work ethic . I think that if a guy is fighting for more out of himself and life and puts in work everyday to be the best at something that is sexy as HELLLLL:eek:
shit urijah has a lot of girlfriend potential in just this thread alone hahaha :p

A few of the guys at my gym have a running joke that to get a date w/ me you have to wear a blond wig and sandals. Har har. But I think Urijah's best qualities are his personality and sense of humor.
Sure, he looks like the result of a threesome between Zeus, Athena and Aphrodite :eek: but he's got good roots and that's the best ingrediant.
