Its funny to have a board based on mma and no general mma forum lol. So I guess I'll ask here. What are your guys thoughts on Kimbo vs Shamrock? EliteXC needs a big rating and he can get a rub by beating Ken also. Except if he gets beat by Ken which could happen. Do you like the matchup?

kimbo will lose. the guy sucks, yeah hes big and he can street scrap with other not-so good streetfighters, but this is MMA, he just isnt there yet. i seriously have friends that are 155 to 170 that would beat his ass. hes yet to face a man without a glass jaw or a nasty bulb of waiting to be smashed cauliflower ear, man was that a set up, everyone in the ENTIRE MMA world knows you get that shit drained first. he needs to refight that white dude that beat the hell out of him all over that gym. until he beats someone worth a shit, hes going to be a joke. put him in with Lesnar, haha!

you guys should read what Brett Rogers has been saying about the match up. i'll look for the link but i'm pretty certain he calls Kimbo "the black yeti" because of all the hype and myth behind him. if Kimbo gets by Ken then it looks like Brett will be his next opponent.

Ken is only out for a paycheck! He had his @$$ handed to him by Tito how many times and now he is going to fight a guy that hits like a ton of bricks. Kimbo is still a side show until he gets some real cardio and hopefully Bas can turn him into a real fighter!
If Kimbo ever learns some ground and gets some cardio I would love to see kimbo and Lesnar in a fight.

those 2 boneheads throwing leather would be a pure classic. i give lesnar the advantage though. he picked up guys like kimbo and threw them all over the ring fake or not. we havent seen the best of lesnar by far. i was so suprised how young kimbo is. hes my age, the guy looks like late 40's. like what was said if Rutten can fine tune him it will make him very tough.

Kimbo is a can !! He is a circus clown claiming to be a Fighter. True he is a street fighter, but so far from being well rounded it will take BAS years to get him where he needs to be to compete at the level of a heavy weight contender. I love Shamrock and what he has done for the sport, but he is WELL past his prime. Although I still give him the edge against Slice. I wish Gary Shaw would put him up against a guy that is not out to pasture OR a fighter that is in the top 20 heavyweights in the WORLD !! Not top 20 in Elite XC in the World.....Then Kimbo will be exposed for what he is a brawling internet street fighter who Gary Shaw is pimping as a mixed martial artist. You can fool some of the people into believing that C**P Shaw but PIMP ON, Your cash cow is about to run out of milk even with you bottle feeding him. Shamrock will catch Kimbo in some kind of leg lock, if he can stay away from the jab and right hook of Slice !!! JUst my thoughts anyhow !!
ya know kimbo is just all the low life favorites. all my friends that dont know a thing about mma love kimbo because he looks built and a bit frightening and he busted some guys ear. who cares, he fought a bunch of nobodys to be a youtube star, so what, i cant wait for the day a tiny asian guy submits him in the 1st round.
apparently his muscle has been sufficating his brain, for him to think he can compete with the big dogs in the mma world

Is that all they can get? Seems like the same fighters are fighting this time around. Watched it last time and I felt like I was watching the WWE. It was so glorified and the fights weren't even top calibre.

I think Kimbo is at least a fighter....... better than Brock Lesnar....what a joke.

He is seriously like Donkey Kong using his brute strength to get his opponent down and then he has no idea what to do. I can't believe that he won that last fight, I honestly thought it was pathetic.
Sure, he has the ability to train and improve...but he talks smack and gives dirty shoves and such after the round is over...such as you would see Macho Man Randy Savage behaving!! Not with the respect that you would see from a true MMA fighter!:mad:.
He is bringing too much of the WWE into MMA, and MMA does NOT need a name like that. I already hear enough about the fights being fixed, etc...Brock Lesnar need go back to his acting/wrestling career and take his WWE attitude with him....thumbs down to Brock!
Can't wait to see Randy teach him a thing or two.....;)
oh i know, first off he has no respect either. He forgot to leave his cocky WWE attitude when he entered the octagon. Did you see after he fought Heath Herring and did that weird cowboy dance. what a jackass.
in that match he gave up mount like 3 times, prolly cause he didnt know what to do when he got there! I cant wait for couture to totally destroy him. just bust his chin

I think Jessica is right on! Some of these fights are very "WWE". Besides, I thought Sham retired! I have always questioned that decision after the Tito Ortiz fight, and it was funny how the hatred they had for each other vanished in the end. I think sometimes, the UFC likes to add drama in for a little extra spice. By the way, my honey was just looking at the stats listed for the fight, and Sham's are pretty sketchy compared to Kimbo. His weight isn't listed. So, we either have a David and Goliath match, or a publicity stunt! I can't say I am on the edge of my seat for this one, although it should be entertaining.
