Justin (Team Alpha Male) was scheduled to face Terry Etim at UFC 95, but he had to be taken off the card due to a severe staph infection.

why Im not fighting
I got a couple messages about why Im out of UFC 95 well sunday I got a couple bumps on my arm while doing a workout with Master Thong... I didnt think to much of it but on monday I had a great morning practice and got some of my last hard sparring in and was feeling great. I noticed my arm looked pretty ragged like it had been scratched up. I decided go to Med 7 a urgent care clinic and had it checked out because infectious skin problems are very common in our sport. I told them to test me for impetigo and staph and everything else you can get off the mats which is a lot. The doctor came back with another doctor and they insisted that it was excema and I was fine. I was skeptical so I had them write me a note that said it was not contagious. They prescribed a steroid creme. It kept getting worse and worse and I was getting nervous as hell and thursday morning Urijah had me see a REAL doctor he immediately looked at it and put me on 4 different meds. He said the creme I was prescribed was like putting gasoline on a fire because it made the infection 50 times worse. So I cant pass a physical and Im not going to london for those of you who were curious. sorry to disappoint but this could be the worst thing that could happen to someone who was about to fight.

Thanks Mandy. That really sucks for Justin. I can't imagine training for a fight then having something like that happen. Hopefully he bounces back quickly and can get on the next fight card.

Just goes to show how reliable some docs are. Too bad they didn't catch it early on.
I hope the infection clears up ASAP and he is feeling 100% soon.
