The fact is...it wasn't a cat, a dog, or anybody's pet. It was an over-grown, disease ridden fracking rat. Lighten up people. That was an evenly matched confrontation! I didn't see anybody shooting at it...like I would have! No harm done. :rolleyes:

Sorry, I just care a lot about animal rights, and its something really important to me. And animal rights doesn't just apply to cats and dogs and other household pets. For me, it wouldn't have made a difference if it was rednecks taunting it. I've actually already come between a group of idiots effing with an animal, and I'm proud of myself for doing so.

Opossums are typically nocturnal, so it was probably a little disoriented already, and just to have a group of (totally hot shirtless guys) following it relentlessly (while I myself might enjoy) was unnecessary. And I was wrong before. Opossums do not actually hang from their tails because the tail cannot support its weight...holding it by its tail could have injured it.
