local fights

I went to a local fight tonight and I must say that I was surprised. We have quite a few very talented fighters here. We saw a little of everything. One dude got knocked the f**k out cold 30 sec. into the first round with one punch, one arm bar that left his arm hanging at a weird angle, and a RNC that was left on about 10 seconds too long...not a pretty sight. My 6 year old son went with me and had a blast. He was better than Joe Rogan at commentating. He had his own fan club shortly after the first fight started lol. We were sitting with one of the fighter's family so after his fight, he came to sit with them, but spent more time with Austin than with his own family. Him and Austin had a blast predicting the winners, betting using popcorn, and commentating. It was hilarious.

Fights sound like they were off the hook. Amateur fights are great. Sometimes I think they are hungrier for a win and will really put themselves out there. Looks like Austin had a great time too. :)

Austin had a blast. He was wanting them to let me and him fight haha. He said...we fight at home, why can't we fight in the cage? During the fights him and the fighter he was commentating with kept screaming...kick him, punch him, choke him out, take him to the ground! I wish I had a video of it lol.
One guy started bleeding from a cut and Austin's new friend asked him if that bothered him. Austin said...well no! What did you expect, he just got his head caved in, he's got to bleed after that...wouldn't you?

Sounds like a lot of fun. My brother is having his first amateur fight on March 20th! I'm so PUMPED!

That is very true. We are hungier. For me its like I just want to get out there and fight like I have something to prove. Sometimes it feels like the whole world is watching and all I want to do is force my will on the guy in front of me.

Local fights are great. The only bad side of local fights are the local guys really don't get paid sh!t.
