Going to Uriah's next fight with a little community in mind

I was wondering what ideas people had for things we might do as a group at the next fight or as individuals during fight weekend? Let's do some brainstorming!

I was thinking there ought to be a meal we could enjoy together. A breakfast, lunch or dinnr, that eating together would help us meet up prior to the weigh in, the fight, prior to hitting the clubs, etc, are there any ideas?

What ideas do you have?

No Urijah isn't but the WEC is coming here March 1. Carlos Condit will be fighting. I luv him!

Ash that would be awesome, how far of a drive is that? I think Seth and JBNTX from here are coming for sure too. Will be fun!

Hey, carlos condit isnt going to be able to fight in march because he just hurt his wrist training. Mike brown and garcia still will be but unfortunatly carlos wont be. Sucks man, they are supposed to replace it with an "equal" fight. -hard to do

Condit Injured, Forced to Withdraw from March 1st Bout vs Larson

The March 1st welterweight title bout between WEC champion Carlos Condit and challenger Brock Larson has been called off after Condit severely sprained his right wrist and hand during a recent training session.

This was to be a rematch of the two 170-pounders’ 2007 bout, won by Condit via first round submission. The March 1st WEC card at the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas, which is headlined by the WEC featherweight title bout between champion Mike Brown and Texas’ own Leonard Garcia, will proceed as scheduled, and tickets are on sale now.

A replacement bout Condit-Larson is currently being sought.

He's not really injured he is being moved over to the UFC and will fight against Martin Kampmann April 1st. The replacement bout is Jose Aldo vs someone else lol

I am down with Corpus despite the fight card since it is only a five hour drive !! I am def going to Sac Town again FO sho!! i am pumped about the UFC fight in Ohio as well the week after the Corpus show !!

Can't wait to meet you JB!!!! It's going to be awesome. Like you said, the fight card is a bit disappointing with Condit not being on it anymore, he was the one I was pumped about seeing, oh well, it'll be fun!

I just got an email from the UFC advertising the April 1 fight between Condit and Kampmann. Why couldn't the WEC just come and say that they were eliminating this weight class and that Carlos would be fighting in UFC? Why all the drama of an injury. Even if Carlos were injured while training, still have the balls to tell your fans of these upcoming changes.

I agree, but Jose Aldo is a good fighter so it should be a decent replacement bout. Jose was going to fight Urijah but the WEC decieded to do the rematch with pulver instead.

If you look at some websites such as the wec.tv you'll see that carlos was injured during training but if you look at ufc websites it says that larson was injured...just thought that was sketchy. Did anyone else get wind the joseph benevidez vs jeff curran fight!!! WHOOP WHOOP!:D
