SAN DIEGO-ers

Alright sorry it took so long to type this up I was busy with school and all that. But here ya go…
Kim flew in and was there at about 6 p.m. and I had convinced myself I would be there by 8 p.m. driving, well that quickly changed to about 10 p.m. once I got lost… Lisa and Amee were ready and waiting at the airport at 10 so it worked out well… Once I got to San Diego I picked up Kim and we went and picked up the other two at the airport and that’s how it all started… I looked at this like MTV’s Real World. None of us had ever met, never talked on the phone, nothing. We all are sleeping in one area and no minimal about each other, it was awesome… My friends were calling me crazy, I think their crazy for thinking I was crazy to share a room with THREE girls.

We got back to the hotel and unloaded everything and were headed out… We had no idea where to go but luckily we had Barbara, she got pretty demanding and had a hardcore British accent and attitude but in the end we couldn’t have done anything without her. One of the most memorable things happened on the way to the bars, we were pulling into a parking garage and I while I was getting the charge ticket I looked ahead and the entrance to the parking spots was closed off, at this point im real confused. I said “I mean, I don’t know what to do right now?” The three girls started busting up and I guess I’m still a little lost as to why this was so funny but I haven’t heard the end of it. Anyways we end up at the Hard Rock bar and everyone wants to order a beer. Yeah that wasn’t going to happen, I basically left the girls with no choice and ordered Long Islands. Hard Rock was filled with some odd people, and after a chick walked up behind Amee and started “caressing” her back side, we got a order of Yager bombs and took off… We ended up at another bar http://i41.tinypic.com/246173d.jpgwhere nothing as exciting as Amee getting picked up on by a girl happened but everything closed down downtown at 2 a.m. so we went back to the hotel.

We got back to the hotel and I started airing up the air mattress I had brought. They found this funny and some how we initated that were setting up a “California King” bed, so our drunk a*ses managed to take everything that was in the way and put it on the patio, including a desk and a huge lamp and we combined the beds. We also kept the lamp plugged in and used it during the night on the patio and we left it on ALL night. After this Lisa and I were on a mission to keep the drinking going so we venture off walking the streets trying to find somewhere that’s able to sell alcohol or anything. We were new to the area and realized we were in the ghetto so we went back to the hotel. Lisa managed to hit on “Felipe” (the front desk dude during the am hours) in hopes that he would maybe give us something to drink, didn’t happen. At about 6 a.m. Lisa and I called it a night.

We were up at 8 a.m. and were dying, I went back to bed for about 2 hours while the girls got ready. We all got ready and went to a deli and got some food the headed to the weigh in’s. Barbara took us there, she got kinda pissed when we talked behind her back but she got over it and got us where we needed to go. We were first in line for weigh in’s, where there were some real characters. We were the only people there “tail gating” for the weigh in’s, but why not?

A lot of the fighters were about .5 lbs over and so they dropped their shorts and the towel was raised. The girls loved this, apparently they could just see everything, I don’t really know, I wasn’t watching. They loved it.

We met a bunch of the fighters outside after weigh in’s. We talked with Ryan Bader and Efrain Escudero

and later that night met up with them at a bar and watched Affliction. This was definitely my night, I spent some money and I was feeling good. We leave the bar and Kim and I were headed to the Hard Rock to meet with everyone from the first bar, Amee and Lisa went with Bader and Efrain to get ready and head to Hard Rock. Things get blurry at this point. Lol. Kim and I get in my truck, I’m trying to get directions to Hard Rock from Barbara and having a good conversation with Kim. Next thing you know Kim asks me a question and she gets no answer. Well, guess I was passed out using my window as a pillow at this point. She tried but she couldn’t wake me… So she I guess she had some struggles using my phone, but in the end was able to text Bader and get the address to Hard Rock. THEY decided to call it a night and we picked up Lisa and Amee and headed back to the hotel. I wake up and realize somewhat what was going on after the Kim told me the story about 6 times. For about 10 minutes I was getting ready to head back out, then I changed my mind and passed out.

We all wake up, get ready and head to the fight. We do some tailgating there again, Lisa and Amee were feeling real good, like I’m worried if they are going to remember all the fights but I was right there with them. We all go in and separate directions and head to our seats. Well come to find out I’m in the wrong seat, so im just oh well I’ll stand and watch. The workers there didn’t like that and told me I needed to go to my seat. I explained to them I did and now someone is in my seat. Nope guess my seats were about 20 times better than I thought. So Urijah’s fight starts….then ends… I’m just losing it, the guy next to me has his arm around his girlfriend pulling her legs closer cuz I’m going nuts! That’s fine though.
The fights end, we head back to the after party, which was awesome, No Fear and whoever else put it together did a hell of a job. Urijah was out meeting all his fans and taking pictures with everyone.

It was packed, a lot of Team Alpha Male was there, it was a real good time. And Master Thong... Every club/after party/celebration of any type is in there and he is getting while, I can not imagine Thailand http://i39.tinypic.com/sqjgd2.jpg Everyone left the after party and went to the hotel where all the fighters were staying. There were a lot of people just hanging out in the lobby talking and taking pictures. Urijah, Jamie, Leonard, Tracy Lee, Alex Karalexis and I’m sure there were more.

It was Lisa, Amee, and I at this point. We lost Lisa for a little while, I think she got lost in the hotel? But we met up with her later. We ended up hanging out with Urijah, Jamie and Tracy in Urijahs room. We hung out about a hour then took off.

I'm going to elaborate on Sunday since we didn't sit with Seth. :( It appears none of us were in the seats we were suppose to be in. I got to my seat and sat down. I realized I was by the tunnel the fighters were coming out of so I texted them letting them know where I was. Lisa texted me back asking if there were seats available by me and at the time my whole row was open. They ended up talking their way down to my section. After a while I was talking to someone about our area only to find out I was in the wrong section. I was one section over. Hey, I sat down where the guy told me to. Anyway, the guy next to me tells me not to worry about it because these seats were promotional seats. They work for a radio station and they had most of that section. He told me if anyone came down he would tell them those were our seats. It also turns out the people behind me were from Washington also. They live about 30 minutes away from me. Small world. So it was great being able to watch the fights with Lisa and Amee instead of sitting there by myself. Although, we would have loved to have had Seth's seats!

Damn Seth, that was bad ass! I love how our room lit up from the street with the the lamp haha. We really should all be interior designers. I liked the room much better after we rearranged the place. And I agree with you Kim...Barbara is a total bitch! She was so jealous when Seth was not driving. But at least we always ended up where we were suppose to be somehow. Lisa and I were definitely feeling good by fight time. We had a blast flirting with the workers at the arena so we could sit with Kim. They were so easy haha. Well, all of them except for the one chick. She didn't like us much :rolleyes:

Haha. My friend and I had one girl tell us we were cheating on her because we went up for drinks on the other side and she caught us. I was rather surprised that she remembered us, but I guess we walked up for drinks quite a few times.

Lisa and I started this, I guess, game out of no where... I don't know if it began after one night at the bars or what, but this is it. Anytime we would get into the elevators with other people we would just start talking this non sense about "the other" elevator crashing from seven floors high and killing the people in it. Lisa and I would get all serious and talk about it... "I sure am glad we aren't in that elevator that fell yesterday".. "Yeah I know I heard it was pretty violent".... "Yeah they fell from the 7th floor"... "I guess their eyeballs completely fell out of their sockets on impact"... " Yeah apparently people were waiting to get on and when they opened the door they found eyeless dead people".... ha ha ha ha some of the people were just like silent and ready to get off it was awesome

I like to shake the elevator, so next time we out to time it out that I get on after you and do my thing. So far, nobody has ever even asked me to stop:p Most of the time I'm not even sure if they know it's me, except for when I start laughing and I've been doing it at least 27 years now.:cool:

Great job on that Seth and everyone else that added stuff in. It was a total blast. All the little details is what really made this weekend great! All the little jokes and funny shit people would say make this unforgetable!

And yeah I kinda did get lost in the hotel. I went to find some alcohol with Tommy and then I left after a while when we couldn't find it. Went outside and ended up smoking cigarettes with 2 hot chicks that knew Drago I guess and with a homeless man named Brad Pitt, go figure! Then made my way back to Urijah's room where Amee and Seth were. :) Tommy was not sneaky, we were just trying to find alcohol. But It was cool to just be able to sit and talk with him he's an awesome dude for sure! Someone you'd wanna party with in Sac for sure :)

I know we can learn from these misses and hopefully start some things we can do every time, like a dinner or breakfast together on certain days or before or after the weigh- ins and fight. Some kind of fun and games after the bars close.

If people are going to drink, then they could buy the after hours alcohol before it's 2:30 am, as long as we watch out for each other and make sure this change doesn't bring us alcohol poisoning, somebody fallin off a balcony or drowning in a pool.

I think we are going to have to wait until Urijah's opponent is figured out. What would happen if they signed a contract with Urijah and Mike had to recuperate again?:p Not that Urijah would hold it over their head, but I think they need both fighters and able to secure the arena they want.

Sounds like a bunch of people are going. Maybe we can work out a deal with one of the hotels to give us all a break if we can fill so many rooms?:cool:
