I have had my bow for 3 years now...but haven't taken it out hunting yet. Alot of targeting trying to strengthen my pull. But so far I enjoy it...just another one of those many hobbies that I have to try and find a little time for.
Good luck on your hunt! I have not been out much this season yet!;)

I've only gone bow hunting with my dad once. I didn't even see any deer the entire time out, but that's the thrill of the hunt I suppose. Good luck out there

If you haven't already, I suggest dove hunting. My personal favorite type. They taste delicious and I love the fact that we actually get to sit in one place when we dove hunt. I hate to admit it, but I get tired walking around all day haha

Wow, I have never heard of that!
I did some Pheasant hunting ...but you have to walk around and flush them out of the grass and brush...very exciting! Never got to taste any though...:(
or you can go to someones wedding where they let those doves go at the end of the ceremony and shoot those bastards right then and there ha ha ha ok maybe that wasn't funny!

Really 5 deer? That is great. Here in Calif we can only take two...that is you can only get two tags for the season.

I counted 38 wild turkeys in my back yard yesterday afternoon. They are everywhere here. We have deer too, but I usually only see the skinny little does. The bucks stay in hiding for the most part.
I'm in North Carolina
Holy crap!! How cool is that to see wild turkeys in the back yard. I have some family in NC too, that's cool.

For the most part NC is a boring place, but the turkeys seem to like it here. What's funny is when the deer and turkeys are in the yard at the same time. It's only happened once that I've saw but I about died laughing. The deer are scared of the turkeys, but not scared enough to leave, just scared enough to paw at the ground and snort at them. One turkey had enough of it and fluffed his feathers up at the deer and gobbled. The deer jumped about 3 ft. straight up off the ground and ran. But a few minutes later I saw the deer come sneaking back out of the woods. He just couldn't leave them alone.
That is funny stuff. Where I live we don't really see much of that, never any turkeys but a few deer once in a while. Pretty cool!

I was in Houston two years ago and I never saw nothing like that! ;) I guess they steer clear of the convention center. That's a great pic, awesome.

That's an awesome picture. The deer here act like they're on crack! Always nervous and jumping out trying to hit cars. They wouldn't be caught dead eating that close to all those killer, loud mouthed turkeys!

No idea where that is but I moved from Beaumont after about 9 months and moved to Port Acres. My husband was stationed in Sabine Pass! The damage there was nuts!!! Stuff was completely leveled. Bricks strewn around like they were feathers blowing in the wind!!! Small small world!
