View Full Version : no GI? and GI?
Can someone tell me what this means? I have googled it and I am guessing it has something to do with the kinds of moves that are used?
Thanks!

A gi is the uniform you see alot of jiu-jitsu guys wearing such as GSP when he walks out. Gi and no gi just refers to which kind of class.

jiujitsu is done with a gi (like moto rockstar described)..."no gi" is grappling/submission wrestling - usually jsut wearing board shorts & a rash guard
all right so it's describing what they are wearing then?

Right - gi means they are wearing a uniform (gi) and no gi means no uniform. Board shorts and rash guard like Felix said.
