Basically, his mother's boyfriend shot him. Supposedly in front of his mom, ex girlfriend and son. There was some sort of altercation with the ex girlfriend where Eilers was asked to leave and wouldn't and then began throwing dishes. The guy then pulled out a gun and shot him in the chest.

He was unable to be revived. He was 30 yrs old.

That is so horrible & senseless!! I just can't comprehend what leads people to do stuff like that! My heart goes out to him (may he rest in peace) & his family!

The hardest thing about being able to take care of yourself unarmed is that people nowadays will be too afraid to talk and try to resolve any conflict peacefully and then get like they have to win any way they can.

It's not about the firearm, it's about inner weakness. Europe is going through an epidemic of knife attaks that are brutally fatal. We have been manipulated with all of this fear lately and I think it makes people do irrational things with the slightest stressor. I watch very little tv and none of their news programming.
