So just wondering on others opinions. (Not YOu Tapout...but the product.)

So I have a hard time with the "Tapout" slogan....actually I can't see myself ever promoting TAPOUT as long as they keep the lame ass slogan:

"American, Arrogant...and in your face!"

I think that sucks! That's for the guys that like the "tuff" image of MMA....(in my opinion..that is). Actually the logo and name is very cool, I like alot of their clothing and the look. But I will never support anything that.....I dunno...cocky??? Almost ..show-off...?
Anyways...that's just the vibe that that slogan gives me...I shudder ..yuck....

I like 'Faber style" ...classy yet kick ass...dangerous...but no need to flaunt SHIT...just plain BADASS.....with out saying anything at all!!!

Side note: I don't think MMA needs to be promoted in that manner..(Arrogant and in your face). It needs to be promoted as the professional sport that it has become....and Urijah is a great role model for that.

So just a random rant...interested on everyone's opinion?

Jess:D

I don't like it just because of the characters they portray lol

I don't like it because I don't want mma to be portrayed like pro wrestling. They don't have to look like a bunch of goof balls and act stupid to do a show and sell clothes. jmo

Agreed and agreed...MMA isn't WWE. I can't stand seeing those guys dressed up like that, making our beloved sport look trashy. What's even worse is seeing all of these suburban kids slapping Tapout stickers on their trucks and buying Tapout this, that, and the other...not because they're fans of MMA but because most of the time they're trying to make a statement as in how "tough" they think they are. I'm sorry for writing an essay, but the whole subject really irritates me. Put it this way, if Tapout came into my gym and offered me a sponsorship, I would very respectfully turn it down. Oh yeah, I'd pass on the free stickers too.

I have never bought or worn a shirt made by TAPOUT. Even if Punkass gave me a shirt, I'd find someone to donate it to. Their whole persona is wrong for the sport. Dressing up in face paint and wigs looks childish or one of them is knows nothing about Proactive and is trying to cover his acne.:D Sure they have helped get some fighters into the spot light but that still does not get them the right to act like assholes. I know a few people who have met the TAPOUT crew and they had nothing but negative to say about them.

i dont know. i kind of like tapout. maybe not the slogan, but just the message that you are a badass, and yes, you could probably tear that guys head off sitting next to you on the bus, and that 2x4 looks so good you just might punch a hole straight through it.
kind of gives the fighters almost a super-hero image which is cool, and thats part of what people come to fights to see, 2 tough guys using everything in their arsenal to defeat each other. but as for american, arrogant? thats stupid, A. top fighters in any mma league have generally not been american. pound for pound best right night is Silva. Fedor isnt american either.

My son likes Tapout stuff. And yes, I buy it for him. The artwork is very cool. Do they look like a bunch of idiots, hell yes, but overall I like what they do for unknown fighters who are tyring to make it. Just wish they would do it in a less idiotic way.

maybe it would be better if it were a bit more... exclusive?
cause' yes, you do see the skinny white guy who never thrown a punch in his life, but yet he is decked out in tapout gear.

But warrior has that stuff too, just they are less known unless you actually fight

Watching the fights is fine on Tapout, but those guys are such tools. I guess maybe I haven't been a regular viewer, but the one guy seems like maybe he doesn't want to be such a d-bag.

The one episode i always think about is when "sunshine" was on and they just kept yellin' sunSHIIIIIIIIIINE.

Pissed the heck out of me. I guess any exposure is good exposure, but in my opinion, fighters would look better if they made their own video for youtube or something.

Agree with everyone, they act like a bunch of idiots. But they do give a spotlight to upcoming fighters which I like. The show is annoying as hell and I've never understood the face paint and wigs. Stupid in my opinion. However I would love to meet the Tapout crew just to hear them say: LLIIIIIIIIIISSSSAAAA!!!
