Steve Cantwell, the final WEC light heavyweight champion literally snapped his Razak Al-Hassan's arm tonight in the first round. Cantwell looked really good during this fight and I can't wait to see his future in the UFC! Cantwell held the WEC belt at 21! After the fight he said "You have no idea how long I have been wanting to do that!" It was nuts the arm just popped backwards in his deep deep arm bar!!!
between the KOS ko and saunders destruction and now this people will be talking about this for awhile.

I just saw it. I had to watch the replay of the fights tonight. I hate seeing bones break.

Definitely not smart on his part. I've been in an arm bar before and I cannot imagine not tapping. It's insane that he wouldn't.

No shit! And it's not like he didn't have time to tap. He knew before hand what was about to happen. Makes no since. He was going to loose either way, save the arm! A break that bad is not going to heal anytime soon. Dude's not a lizard, you can't just snap off a limb and grow another one!
Dang, I had to work and missed this!!!! I am not to savvy with technology either so have no Tivo ot DVR. But who snapped what now? Please be my tivo!! I need a recap.

"Al-Hassan came out fast, throwing range-finding jabs and hard kicks. Cantwell calmly stood in the pocket, and his return shots had more steam on them. After the initial burst of action, the pace settled down a bit, but both fighters were still throwing with bad intentions. Midway through the round, Cantwell connected with a jarring kick and punch and followed up with a takedown. Soon moving into side control and then the mount, Cantwell locked up Al-Hassan’s arm. The Iowan refused to tap and tried to escape, but referee Mario Yamasaki intervened and halted the bout at the 4:04 mark after seeing Al-Hassan’s arm badly hyper-extended."

i recorded the fight for the troops, watched it like 500 times, that whole card was just amazing, had to yell at my friend cause he fell asleep half way through the card, he missed all of the good knockouts and cantwells fight
