I am leaving in the morning to go to camp for hunting. Will be there for a week(?). Thats incase people wonder if I disappeared:D.Now I am sitting here waiting for Lisa to PM me and asking if there is hunting camo available in the design of Faber's bathroom.

My dad killed a deer today. My mom about had a heart attack when she saw me and my 5 yr. old outside helping dad clean it. :D I saw it as an opportunity to teach Austin an anatomy lesson. Austin saw it as an opportunity to be gross. Little boys are just gross...I'll leave it at that.

AMA -- the closest Cody ever got to anything like that was cleaning his own fish he caught. But you're right, little boys are all about the gross factor!

I take Austin fishing a lot during the summer. I am such a tom boy when it comes to hunting and fishing. I love it! It may have something to do with me being an only child...and my dad wanted a boy. Instead of playing with girlie stuff as a child, I was going hunting and beating up the neighborhood boys haha

I didn't grow up with fishing and hunting but I grew up with sports. I was the only girl on the block they would allow to play because I played just as rough as they did. It was fun. I think being a tom boy growing up has helped me raise Cody on my own.

No 7:30 in the morning. Usually leave on a friday morning but got delayed until saturday. Not really sucked in but its nice that you girls aren't talk down about hunting like alot of women I know. Plus you girls talk about "BOOBIES" lol

too funny! deer season is over in Cali. My dad got one this year, but my uncle's friend got a bear using his bow. that is sick! We used to be able to hunt bear in Cali with dogs, but not so much now, and even then it took numerous shots to kill 'em. btw, I have my hunting license, but haven't gone in a while, beacuse......of school (of course)
In my head that is how it works but really I bet they laugh at how stupid I am! I post the dumbest shit really. I'll read over what I wrote from previous days and just sit here and shake my head at my silliness!

What do you guys think?

calling for snow everyday of the week and not getting over 30 degrees. week and a half ago they got 2 feet of snow but how much is left I dunno. 5 days of hunting most of that time walking. I will come back 15lbs lighter.

I don't miss the east coast for this reason. It gets cold here, but never really below 30 during the day and snow is every now and then.

currently 57 degrees here, that is cold for Bakersfield, but I am still in my stinky, sweaty gym shorts, and pretty comfortable...(that was probably TMI...sorry!)

It's in the 40's here now. It was a lot warmer today than it has been for the past couple of weeks. I need to relocate!
When I was in Wyoming, I remember it started snowing on July 4th! :cool:

In Cali, it tends to be really "gamey", really only good for jerky and sausage...even then, with the sausage the butcher usually adds more fat to the meat...not really something I am fond of.
